HIGH-TECH SOURCES OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY INTEGRATED INTO FOOTWEAR AND CLOTHING

The paper gives an overview over a large number of physical effects, innovations and inventions for the use of environmental energy and human motion energy to generate electricity necessary to supply power or recharge the batteries of the device that the user wears or to supply power to smart and e-clothing and footwear. Specific features of individual power sources, their yield and possible applications as well as shortcomings were analyzed. With this in mind, an overview over the application features of solar cells, linear and rotational induction generators, piezoelectric effects using piezoelectric plates and discs, polymer piezoelectric films and triboelectric composites was provided. Based on this overview, it was concluded that polymer piezoelectric films and triboelectric composites as high-tech sources of electrical energy in clothing and footwear have the greatest technological and technical application possibilities.
